John Ivan Keleciny's Obituary
John I. Keleciny, aged 93, from Rocky River, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. Born in Cleveland to the late John and Mary Keleciny on February 3, 1931, John lived a life full of love, service, and dedication.
He is survived by his cherished children, Karen (Nick) LaJoe and Marc Keleciny, his granddaughter Lauren (Aaron) Chamberlain, and great-grandchildren Sloane and Calum. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. John is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosanna, his son, John W., and his sisters Blanche, Jean, Vera, and Vi.
A proud Marine, John was passionate about woodworking, spending countless hours in the community woodworking shop. He generously shared his skills, teaching inner-city children to create wooden sail boats. His spirit of giving extended to all areas of his life, as he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
John found joy in nature, spending cherished moments with his family at the Bradlo Club and delighting in bird watching. His involvement in the Slovak community was another testament to his commitment to bringing people together.
John's legacy is one of love, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. He will forever be remembered as a great father, a dedicated community member, and a friend to many.

A visitation will be held on Monday February 17th, 2025 from 4:00pm- 5:00pm at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 with a service to follow immediately at 5:00pm at the Chapel.
