John Gilbert Lind's Obituary
John Gilbert Lind, 96, of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024. Born on November 15, 1927, to the late Clyde and Emma Lind, John lived a full and vibrant life.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, his two cherished daughters, his adored grandchildren, his loving sister, and his dear brother. He was a proud veteran, having served as a medic in the United States Air Force. After his military service, John dedicated his career to education, working as a principal for the Cleveland Public Schools.
John was an active member of his community, serving as the secretary for the Fairport Harbor Yacht Club and participating in the US Sail and Power Squadron District 11. He had a passion for boating and a deep appreciation for nature. Known for his infectious laughter and fun-loving spirit, John brought joy to all who knew him.
In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held, but he will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio.
