John T. Love's Obituary
John Love, of Kingsley, MI, passed peacefully February 1, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice House. He will be remembered as a fun loving, honest and hard working husband, father, and grandfather.
On August 22, 1954, John was born the youngest child of Ray H. and Jean Love. He graduated from Benzie High School in 1972 and Fortis College in 2011.
John worked as a HVAC Tech and retired from Precision Plumbing in Traverse City, MI in 2019.
He was blessed with many gifts, talents and skills. His love for fishing, boating, camping, and engaging in many different projects kept him busy. His backyard was his playground, he enjoyed hosting pig roasts for family and friends, gardening, cooking and canning everything from the fish he caught to grape juice. His true passion in life was his family, he was happiest sitting around a campfire or playing cards almost every weekend he wasn’t fishing.
John indeed had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He was thoughtful, appreciative and a grateful man who will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered for years to come.
He is survived by his loving wife for over 40 years, Patti; son Petty Officer 1st Class Adam J. Love; grandsons Isaac and Donovan, and brother James (Cheryl) Love.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Love (2019); and sister Janet Love.
A special thank you to his sister in law Pamela Carrington, nephew Matthew Pusateri and Hospice of Western Reserve.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, February 7, at Jowett Family Funeral Home in Benzonia, MI. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, 17876 St Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
