Rob—or “Robbie” as I knew him—was my best friend when we were both little kids at the Church of the Redeemer in Niagara Falls, Ontario in the 60’s. I have fond memories of spending wonderful times playing together. He was always a mechanical genius—I remember that he took me for a ride in a car he’d souped up on a visit to NFO as a teenager. I still can still feel the G-forces when he floored it! Rest In peace my friend. And my deepest condolences to Len and Pat. I know how much you loved Rob, and my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow.
Rob and I met in high school and quickly became best friends. We both shared a love and passion for Oldsmobiles. As I live in Virginia, we spoke on the phone nearly every day. We did our best to make annual visits to each other. I was fortunate enough to have visited Rob the last week in June and I'm so glad I did. Rob was more than my best friend but more considered a member of my family. We both served as best man at each other's weddings. Rob was like a brother to me. He will be loved and sadly missed forever. Rest in Peace my friend.
