John E. Schuetz's Obituary
John E. Schuetz, 82, of Strongsville, passed away on July 1, 2021. John was born in Kansas to the late Leon and Ruth Schuetz in 1939.
John is preceded in death by his wife Roberta Ann Schuetz who he was married to for 56 years, siblings Leon (Norma) Schuetz and Charles Schuetz.
John is survived by his children Mark (Paula), Timothy (Kimberly), Nicholas (Rita), William (fiancé Cheryl), and Charles (Jennifer); grandchildren Stephen (Erica) Marshall, Nicole (Jeff) Taylor, Steven (Keighty) Schuetz, Thomas (Brenda) Marshall, Gretchen (Shawn) Gutekunst, David (Christine) Schuetz, Schaun (Kaya) Schuetz, Austin Schuetz, Emily Schuetz, and Samuel Schuetz; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother Raymond (DeAnn) Schuetz; and a sister-in-law Kathleen Schuetz.
John loved going on cross country trips with his 30+ year career as a truck driver and with his wife on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. They were members of the Gold Wing Road Rider Association for many years. When not traveling, John and Roberta loved playing cards and spending time with their family both near and far. John loved to both watch and play basketball for many years and often played with his children at home.
The memories made will be cherished always and he will be dearly missed.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on July 7, 2021, from 4pm until 7pm at the Sunset Chapel located at 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. The funeral service will begin promptly at 7pm. Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Park on July 8, 2021 at 3pm. Those attending the burial are asked to arrive at the Sunset Chapel at 2:45pm to prepare for procession.
