John M. Sedmack's Obituary
John Michael Sedmack, age 90, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
He was born November 2, 1928 in Lakewood, son of the late John and Mary (nee Joniak) Sedmack. John is a U.S. Army veteran. He was the founder of Sedmack Insurance and Financial Services. He was the past President of the Chamber of Commerce in North Olmsted, and a member of the American Legion and Elks. John spent 20 years living in Florida with his wife where he enjoyed boating. He will be greatly missed.
Devoted husband of 69 years to Virginia Sedmack (nee Strake); cherished father of Jack (Maureen) Sedmack, Susan Sedmack, Martin Sedmack, Gregg Sedmack, Pamela (Don) Butler, Judith (Chris) Toth, and Barry (Veronica) Sedmack; beloved grandfather of Michael Sedmack, Lauren (Zach) Johnson, Jill Sedmack, Jimmy Sedmack, Matt (Alina) Butler, Natalie Toth, Madeleine (Elijah) Toth Edwards, Haylie Toth, and Nicholas Toth.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 10AM at St. Richard Catholic Church, 26855 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Inurnment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John’s name are suggested to St. Richard School, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
