John Joseph Seminatore's Obituary
John Joseph Seminatore, age 95, of Seven Hills, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. Born on April 30, 1930, he was the beloved son of the late Agatino and Rosina Seminatore. A man of quiet strength, unwavering honesty, and deep devotion to his family, John lived a long and meaningful life rooted in hard work, love, and simple joys.
John grew up in a large, close-knit family and was preceded in death by his siblings Salvatore “Sam,” Michael, Joseph, Charles, Nancy, Mamie, and Angela. In 2017, he lost his cherished wife of more than 60 years, with whom he built a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication.
He is survived by his son, Stephen (Linda) Seminatore; his grandchildren Steven (Tabitha), Lisa (Eric), Michelle (Terron), and Nicholas (Courtney); and his great‑grandchildren Guliana, Alexxis, Gavin, Madelyn, Eli, and Serena. Nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by his grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
John spent many years as the owner of a business servicing pinball machines and jukeboxes in bars throughout the Cleveland area—work that perfectly matched his mechanical skill and friendly nature. Later, he continued his career with the City of Cleveland as an inspector, where he was known for his reliability and integrity.
Outside of work, John found happiness in woodworking, gardening, and tending to his lawn. He took pride in creating things with his hands and nurturing the spaces around him. His hobbies reflected who he was: patient, meticulous, and always willing to put in the effort to make something better.
John will be remembered as an honest, hardworking man who treated everyone with kindness. He was friendly, loving, and steady—a presence his family could always count on. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the stories he shared, and the generations who carry his spirit forward.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, in the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
