John Smetanka, age 72 of Brook Park, passed away peacefully January 05, 2021 while surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Patricia (Nee Bomer). Devoted father of Sharon (Jesse) Miller, Debbie (Ryan) Appelhans, Shelly Fuller (Dale Churnega) and "Roonie". Dear brother of Stevie (Bill) Kufner, Tillie Veres, Pauline (Melvin) Skabar, Mike, and Mary Jane (deceased). Cherished grandfather of Craig, Hannah, Hailey, Alex, Dylan, Logan and "Scooter". Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church 6455 Engle Rd, Brook Park on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Interment at SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK, North Olmsted on Wednesday January 13th at 10:30 AM.
