John Robert Spyak's Obituary
John Robert Spyak, age 93, previously of North Olmsted for 52 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026.
He was born March 3, 1933, in Cleveland, son of the late John and Joan (nee Mrowca) Spyak. John enjoyed eating, painting, history, and Cleveland sports. John loved going on bus trips and traveling with his wife. John will forever be remembered as being family oriented and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Devoted husband of 62 years to Eleanor A. Spyak; cherished father of John M. (Robbin) Spyak, Joseph (Sylvia) Spyak, Paul R. (Anna) Spyak, Thomas A. (Janice) Spyak; beloved grandfather of Shane (Rebecca), Somer (Anthony), Monique (John), Jackilyn (Tony), Janick, Matthew, Madison, and the late Caitlin Spyak; loving great-grandfather of Kailynn, Ava, Addison, Mason, Adriana, Emma, Savanna, John, Ariana, Lily, and Easton; treasured brother of the late Joan E. Battis.
Memorial Visitation is Monday, June 29, 2026, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070, where the memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John’s name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, Cleveland Chapter, 23215 Commerce Park, Suite 300, Beachwood, OH 44122.
