John P Willison's Obituary
John P. Willison, 97, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 4th , 2023. John was born in Belfast, Ireland on June 20th , 1925 to George Willison and Mary Kenner (nee Belle). He and his sister Irene was that of an Army family. He spent 8 years of his young life living in India, then went back to Glasgow, Scotland. He moved to London for work, where he then met his wife Queenie (nee Marden). They married on February 19th, 1955. They immigrated to America in 1957 to be with his sister Irene, and her husband John (Jack) Honeyman. They spend the rest of their life happily residing in Lakewood. He worked as a draftsman, raised four beautiful daughters, and retired in 1992. John’s favorite things were watching Soccer (go Tottenham Spurs!), golf, dogs, being with family, telling jokes, and a nice glass of scotch. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Queenie, his daughters Debra (Henry) Mann, Julie (William) Ritchie, Kimberly Willison and Joe Schoger, Lisa Willison and Patrick Demro. Along with his 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. John will be remembered by his sense of humor, and joyful charm. John’s celebration of life will take place at 2pm on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
