Josef “Sepp” Toerek, 84, of Brooklyn, passed away January 24, 2016.
Beloved husband of Susanna (née Altheim) for 62 years; devoted father of Gerlinde (deceased), Reinhold (Joyce), Eduard (Sharon) and Linda (Carl) Ethridge; proud Opa of David (Hayley) Toerek, Chrissy (Mario) Ciatti, Daniel (Melody) Toerek and Alex, Caleb and Joey Ethridge; “Big Opa” of Ethan and Eli Toerek; brother of Hans (deceased) (Elli), Ludwig (deceased) (Katharina), Liesl (Alois, both deceased) and Katharina (Franz) in Austria; dear brother-in-law of Katherina Maurer (Franz, deceased) and Karl Altheim (Emma, deceased); beloved uncle and great uncle of many. Member of Christian Heritage Assembly of God and active at Bethel Park (Bridgman, MI) and Lenau Park (Olmsted Twp., OH) for many years. Josef’s devotion to God, family, church and friends was exemplary.
Visitation Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4:30-8:30PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted. Funeral service Saturday at 10AM at Christian Heritage Assembly of God, 36465 Chester Rd., Avon 44011. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. dostalbokas.com
