Joseph P. Pestro's Obituary
Joseph P. Pestro, 95, peacefully passed away on December 14, 2023. Joseph was born on August 27, 1928, in Cleveland, to the late Peter and Josephine (nee Dobrowolski) Pstrogowski. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Loretta Pestro; and daughter, Jane Chamberlin.
He will be missed by his children, Joseph (Antoinette), Jill Davidson (Tom Wansleben); son-in-law, Roger Chamberlin; his grandchildren Annie (Mike), Katie (Andy), Joe (Stephanie), Holly (Dan), Bethany, and Ashley (Peren); and great-grandchildren Natalie, Dean, Grant, Emma, Nora, Joe Finn, Daniel, Chelsea, Isabella, Kayla, Isaac, Ruth, and Charlie.
He retired from the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Sunset Cemetery. The family requests that those who wish, to make a contribution to Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care or to your charity of choice in Joseph's name.
