Josephine “Josie” Gaughan, 81, of Olmsted Twp., passed away February 28, 2024.
Josie was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Konrad and Matilda (nee Gerhard) Henke. She is the beloved wife of the late James E. Gaughan, Sr.; loving mother of James Jr. (Linda), Kimberly (William) Calabrase, Deborah (Kevin) Trickel, Denise Musat (deceased), Richard (Tracey), Renee Negrey, and Joseph (Sommer); cherished grandmother of Nichole, Rachael, Rebecca (deceased), Corie, William, Joseph, Kevin, Karlee, Richard, Ryan, Timmy, Hailey, Erin, Sarah, Claire, Austin, Alivia, Brielle, Colin and Sicilia and great-grandmother of Jacob, Maddy, Stella, Sky, Grace, Avery, Oliver, Natalie, Izzy, Rosie, Josie, Timmy, Denny, Frankie, and Luca; dear sister of the late Matilda (Raymond) Ropelewski, the late Bernard (Patricia, surviving) Henke, the late Marie (Gilbert) Roth, Veronica (George) Schaffer, the late Conrad Henke, and Theresa (William, deceased) Ulery; adored aunt of many. She retired from Malachi House.

Visitation is Monday, March 4, 2024, from 5-8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, 44070. Funeral Mass is Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM at St. Mary of the Falls, 25615 Bagley Road, Olmsted Falls, Ohio 44138.
