Josip Kremic's Obituary
Josip, “Joe”, Kremic was a much beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin,
friend, co-worker, and faithful church member. He fell asleep in Jesus on Sunday morning,
September 1st, at the age of 85 after a courageous and lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Joe was born to Josip and Julia Kremic on May 8, 1939, in Subotica, Yugoslavia. At age 20 he was
drafted into the army for 2 years. He and his beloved wife, Ester came to the United States in
1968, where they raised Tibor (1963) and Serena (1965) and were blessed also by the birth of Erika
(1970). Joe and Ester were married for 56 years. They have been blessed with 4 much loved
grandchildren, Ashley, Robert, Tom, and Eden, and 2 great-grandchildren, Brinley, and Robby.
Joe was a very hard-working, humble, likeable, ‘do-it-yourself’ man. He worked hard for
many years at Graber Metal Works where his conscientious work ethic was valued long after his
retirement. He was a fixer, a handyman, and a fisherman. Even Parkinson’s could not keep him off
his lawnmower or from fixing the car and other such lifelong activities. Joe had a special love of his
grandkids. He also loved animals such as his cats and would watch birds around the house after
his retirement. Joe was a faithful member at the Westlake Seventh-day Adventist church, where he
was a much beloved friend and brother.
A ‘Celebration of Life’ Memorial Service will be held at the Westlake Seventh-day Adventist Church
on Sunday, September 8 at 4 p.m.
