Josipa Mogorovic (nee Gobo)'s Obituary
Josipa Mogorovic (nee Gobo), age 75, passed away August 31, 2019 with her family at her side, loving mother of Theodora DiCenzo and Andrew (Dawn) Mogorovic; devoted grandma to Francesca, Giulia, Luciano, Alex and Gino; Dear sister of Josip (Bepi) Gobo, Nadalina Persic, Katica Yugo, Angela Krusic, Gina Grzinic and the late Milka, Maria, Anna Verbanac; beloved daughter of the late, Jakov and Luce (nee Ruzic); Aunt to Bruno (Pam) Verbanac and many more family and friends.
Josipa’s family was first and foremost in her life. She was born in Martinski, Istria Croatia. Josipa worked for over 50 years in factories, restaurant jobs, even cleaning office buildings, whatever it took to take care of her family. Many of those years working 2 jobs at the same time. She enjoyed playing word search games, doing puzzles, knitting and sewing and enjoyed being outside gardening. She loved the game Tetris and watching wheel of fortune. Olive Garden was her favorite restaurant. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved making homemade pasta (Gnocci and Fuzi) with the kids. Family gatherings were her favorite as she was able to spend time with everyone. Going to Florida for vacation was one of her favorite times of year. She loved all holidays and making Schnitzel and Stuffed Cabbage. Easter egg hunts with the grandkids and filling the eggs with money and chocolate. Her family describes her as hardworking, strong and stubborn but dedicated to her family and being selfless in every way.
Josipa’s family will be receiving guest on Sunday, September 8th, 2019 from 12-4 PM. A Service of Remembrance, Monday, September 9th, at 10 AM, both at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
