Joyce A. Ferguson's Obituary
Joyce A. Ferguson (nee Stambaugh), 88, of Strongsville, passed away April 3, 2017.
She was born in Stambaugh, KY, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Effie Mae (nee Green) Stambaugh. Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Carl, who predeceased her in October of 1994; loving mother of Gary (Peggy, deceased), Brenda (Joseph) Amata and Diane (Darrin) Samko; cherished grandmother of Gary Lee Ferguson, Daryle (Kristi) Ferguson, Shelley (Brian) Speicher, Taylor Amata, Brittany (Harmon) Tam, Elizabeth Isner (Daniel Jones), Darrin Samko, Jr. and Colin Samko and great-grandmother of Tyler Ferguson, Bailey, Natalie and Presley Ferguson, David and Shane Speicher, Amelia, and Harrison Tam, Haylie and Penelope Jones and Damion Samko; dear sister of Mary (Eddie, deceased) Music and the late Norma (Jessie) Burchett, Vivian (Ferris) Grim, William (Pauline) Stambaugh, Glen (Annabel) Stambaugh, Verlia (John) Hall, and Phyllis (James) Stapleton; adored aunt of many.
Joyce retired from MTD as a spot welder and was a member of the Strongsville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She will be remembered for her southern hospitality and kind heart. Joyce welcomed many in her home and was always contributing to charities to make sure she assisted in food, clothing and shelter for those in need.
Visitation Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5-9PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Saturday at 10AM.
