Jozsef Kovacs' Obituary
Jozsef Kovacs was born in Budapest, Hungary on December 8, 1943. After attending trade school and serving in the Hungarian Army, Jozsef immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in December of 1971, to realize the American Dream. On February 9, 1974, Jozsef married the love of his life, Maria (Torma), and they settled in Olmsted Township, Ohio. Jozsef was proud to become a US citizen, and to live the rest of his life in what he considered to be the best country in the world.
Jozsef proudly spent 34 of his 51 working years at Tenk Machine and Tool in Cleveland, as a skilled machinist, operating a lathe, retiring in 2008. Jozsef loved spending time with his family at Berlin Lake and Myrtle Beach and enjoyed countless family vacations through the years.
Jozsef is survived by his beloved wife, Maria, children: Monika Kovacs of Budapest Hungary, Zoltan Kovacs (Jamie) of Orrville, Ohio, Andrea Kovacs (Norman) of New London, Ohio, grandchildren: Fanni, Levente, Brandon, Taylor, Alyssa, Zoe, Gracie, and Zoltan.
A Visitation will be held, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, Olmsted Falls, OH 44070. In lieu of flowers, guests are encouraged to donate to the Alzheimer's Association. www.alz.org
