Judith Ann Kurz's Obituary
Judith Ann Kurz, age 84, of Olmsted Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully with family members by her side on August 7, 2025. Born on November 19, 1940, to the late Eva and John Sweet, Judith lived a life full of warmth, devotion, and joy.
She was the beloved wife of 66 years to Leroy Kurz, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful family and a home filled with kindness and care.
Judith was the cherished mother of Russell (Kim) Kurz, Gregory (Janet) Kurz, and David (Kathy) Kurz; proud grandmother of Jason (deceased), Michael, Jared, Sadie, Jessica, Corbin, Shane, Alec, Madison and Dakota; and adoring great-grandmother of Tristen, Madison, Logan, Ellie, Ethan, Aiden, and Raymond. She was also a loving sister to Barbara (Fred) Trokey, who resides in Tuscon, Arizona and William (Jean) Sweet who lives in Norton, Ohio.
Her passions were simple, yet deeply meaningful - sewing, playing cards and shuffle board, spending time with family and friends and bowling with Lee, which all brought her great joy. Judith found delight in spending time with her grandchildren and had a special fondness for her son’s dog, Cooper, who always brought a smile to her face.
In her later years, Judith remained active and engaged, organizing and participating in many social events and activities within her Columbia Park community. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her.
Judith will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the warmth she brought into every room. She was always willing to help anyone in need, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Services will be held privately by Judith's family.
