Mrs. Judith Bliss Trudel's Obituary
Judith Bliss Trudel, age 79, passed away July 24, 2024 after a long battle with dementia. She was born November 3, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter to the late Frank William and Dorothy Helsel Bliss. As the daughter of a career Marine, she spent her youth living in many areas of the United States including the U.S territory of Hawaii before it became the 50th state. She found herself living in Brentwood, PA where she met her beloved husband, David. She graduated in the class of 1962 from Brentwood High School. After graduation, Judi worked in the public relations department of ALCOA and modeled for Powers Modeling Agency. After moving to Cleveland, she served as Executive Secretary to the head of forging/casting research of ALCOA Cleveland. She then chose to devote herself to raising her family. Once her children were grown, she became the assistant librarian for the Westlake School District. Judi was a loving and cherished wife, mother and grandmother. She was a beautiful woman who loved the Lord and was very active in Christ the King Church serving in several ministries including God’s Special Friends. Judi also loved to paint, sew her beloved Christmas stockings for family, create stained glass, read and travel the world beside David including winters in Florida. Judi will be greatly missed by all who love her.
Judi was the cherished wife of 59 years to David Trudel; Sister to the late Frank (Beverly) William Bliss II and Mary (Michael) Sindaco. Mother to Tracey (David) Zellner, James (Jennifer) Trudel and Kristen (Ryan) Steenburg. Grandmother to Millie and Conrad Zellner; Jimmy, Lydianna and London Trudel; and Caitlyn, Wes, Anabelle, Mikayla, Joshua, Jordan, Olivia, Abigail, and Tobias Steenburg.
Public visitation will be Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, at 10:00 am at Christ the King Vineyard Church, 30635 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A graveside service will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
