Judy Susanne Kretz's Obituary
Judy Susanne Kretz passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on December 14, 1941, to the late Gunda and Alois Weissmann, Judy lived a life full of love, creativity, and generosity.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Werner Kretz, and her cherished children, Heidi (Manuel) Glynias and Steven (Lori) Kretz. Judy was a proud and loving grandmother to Peter, Anton, Hannah, Sephora, Tehilla, ElChavah, Nevehyah, Naiym, and Logan, and a great-grandmother to Raycer and Keener. She is also survived by her sister, Rosemarie Evans. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Marie Dobler.
Judy had a special bond with her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Oma." She loved traveling and exploring new places, and she expressed her creativity through photography, putting many photo albums together for her family, crocheting beautiful blankets and enjoying embroidery projects that she framed and gifted to friends and family. A lifelong fan of Disney, Judy had a particular fondness for Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she had a special love for snowmen.
Her musical talents were showcased as she played the trumpet for the Deutsche Musikverein band. Judy was also an active member of the Raising Canes dance group in Parma, Ohio, where she shared her love of dance and camaraderie with many friends.
Judy's warmth, creativity, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Service, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio.
