Julia K. Brown's Obituary
Julia “Julie” Brown (nee Kish), beloved wife of James A. (deceased), of North Olmsted peacefully passed away on February 23, 2014, at the Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve in Westlake. Born in Dayton, OH on Dec. 31, 1924, Julie was the daughter of Joseph and Julia Kish. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Joseph Kish, Jr. and Gabor Kincses and sister Rozilia “Rose” Nagy (nee Kincses). Julie and Jim were the loving owners of Heidi, their beautiful dachshund. They took pleasure in watching their nieces and nephews and the children of their many friends grow and flourish. A graduate of Miami Jacobs Business College, in Dayton, Julie retired in 1974 as Director of Relocation Services for HGM Realtors. She had previously been employed by Eastern Greyhound Lines where she and her husband met. They were members of Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ in Westlake. Julie was a long-time member of The Herb Guild. She enjoyed working in her gardens and tending to her colorful floral beds. She worked on numerous beautification projects in her neighborhood and the City of North Olmsted. She served as secretary of the West Park-Forest Ridge Civic Association for 25 years and was a board member of North Olmsted Community Council. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 12 NOON in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted; where friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd. #270, Valley View, OH 44125.
