June R. Russell's Obituary
June Russell, 97, peacefully passed away on February 15, 2024. She was born on September 18, 1926, in Cleveland, to the late John and Pearl (nee Flory) Macy.
Although originally from the Cleveland area, June had spent many years in Florida. She worked at N.A.S.A. for most of her secretarial career. She loved playing cards with family and friends, bowling, and putt putt golf. She also enjoyed spending time doing needle point. June loved the Lord and was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Russell; brother, Ken Macy; step-daughter, Janet Morgan.
She is survived by her loving family, including her children, Scott (Patricia) Schulke; stepchildren, William Russell, Robert Russell, and Jane Russell; grandchildren, Stacey Quinanola, Scott Schulke, Jordan Russell, Katie Perko, Daniel Russell, and Mark Russell, Brian Russell, Megan Russell, and Scott Russell. great-grandchildren, Hailey Spikes, Cole Schulke, Sadie Schulke, Reese Schulke, James Perko, Benjamin Perko, and Evelyn Perko; sister, Jackie McDowell; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bethany Lutheran Church June Russell Memorial Fund.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am March 4, 2024, at Bethany Lutheran Church (15460 Triskett Rd Cleveland Ohio 44111). The church will host a luncheon immediately following the service, all are welcome.
She will be laid to rest privately at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio.
