Karen M. Joseph's Obituary
Karen M. Joseph (nee Weaver) age 83 of Bay Village, Ohio was called to her eternal home on September 29th, 2023. Dear daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (nee Warhola) Weaver, loving mother of Jeanne Joseph, cherished grandmother of Jocelyn Joseph (Paul, fiance), sister to Clarice Kollhoff (Gerald) and brother James Weaver.
Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Karen, her daughter Jeanne and granddaughter Jocelyn, were often known to enjoy spending time together cooking, shopping and traveling together. Karen loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Alpha Phi Fraternity and cherished their Red Dress Gala which supports women’s heart health. She loved being around her dogs and cats. She always cherished her numerous shopping trips with her favorite nursing friends.
As a dedicated nurse for 54 years, she left a major impact on both her patients and colleagues. A graduate of St. John's School of Nursing, she went on to work for the original St. John’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, Metro Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and then for St. John’s Westshore Hospital in Westlake, Ohio. Her initial career began in Maternity but then she went on to find her passion working in surgery.
Friends and family are welcome to attend her service on Friday, October 13th, from 10:30a.-11:30a. at Saint Raphael’s Parish in Bay Village. (525 Dover Center Rd, Bay Village, Ohio 44140) The service will be followed by a celebration of life reception at 12p. at the Rocky River Civic Center Community Room.
