Karen VanLinge's Obituary
Karen VanLinge was born November 25, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Gerard VanLinge and Eunice VanLinge (nee Schuur). She was preceded in death by her sister: Gretchen Cody. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Judy (Richard) Milota; nieces and nephews: Sue (Bill) Bennett, Taylor, Zach, Carolyn (Patrick) Foley, Robert, Benjamin, William, Sharon (Tony) Richardson, Katie, Gretchen, Debbie (David) Aron, Steven (Gabrielle), Rachel, Emily (Benjamin) Sopkin, Mark (Lisa) Milota, Andrew, Tyler, Sage, and Justin. She also leaves to cherish her dogs, Cissy and Molly.
Karen lived a life full of love. She loved her family, her church family, her dogs, Cissy and Molly, and her friends. She loved to travel all over the world, art, music, and theater. She loved the outdoors with gardening, skiing, golfing, baseball, whitewater rafting, and hiking. She also loved many indoor activities: bowling, knitting, sewing, and watercolor painting. Karen was so generous with donations to the fine arts, animal shelters, church, and wildlife. She devoted time to committees at church and teaching others for obtaining General Educational Development (GED). She lived a full life.
A private graveside service will be held, August 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 6465 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parma South Presbyterian Church, 6155 Pearl Road, Parma Heights, OH 44130.
