Karl R. and Sarah M. Toth's Obituary
Karl R. and Sarah M. Toth passed away August 26, 2018 after battling Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. They were blessed with a long happy marriage of fifty-five years together. Survived by Sarah’s siblings, James Dunlap and Monica Dunlap, and nephews and nieces Arthur Karl Wallrath, Yvette Shannon, Heather Taylor, Lorna Findley, Kathryn Dunlap and James Dunlap.
Karl was born to the late Carol and Yolanda (Hussar) Toth in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 12, 1938. He was the beloved brother of Yvonne (Arthur) Wallrath. He graduated from West Tech High School and served in the Air Force. He was a plant supervisor and worked for Harris Calorific, Carnation, Container Corporation of America and Nissan. He embraced many hobbies including car racing road rally events, cooking and wrote a short story collection he titled, “Bent in Cleveland”.
Sarah was born to the late Anthony and Helen (Battle) Dunlap on July 13, 1943. She graduated from Magnificat High School in 1961. Her career was focused on sales for Crain’s Cleveland Business magazine, where she worked until retiring to enjoy some of her passions, such as The Cleveland Film Festival, traveling, and living a healthy vegan lifestyle. She loved animals and always made a loving home for rescued cat(s).
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. A niche side service will follow at Westwood Abbey Mausoleum.
