Katherine J. Teschner's Obituary
Katherine Jean Teschner, 67, of Mentor, Ohio passed away peacefully after her long battle with breast cancer, surrounded by family and friends on June 30, 2023. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Eugene and Anna Maxine Irwin (née Remley). Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce E. Teschner, and her brother, David Irwin.
Katherine was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors and took in those that needed help. She did this not out of obligation but because of who she was. She ensured that every child that crossed her threshold was safe, happy, and healthy. Many considered Katherine to be their surrogate mother/grandmother.
Katherine enjoyed collecting Barbies, classic movies, makeup, Elvis, cooking, sewing, and reading romance novels.
Katherine will be deeply missed by her family. Loving mother of Robert (Marissa) Lozano, David (Fonny) Lozano, Richard (Shannon) Lozano, Laura (Neil) Bennett, and Zachary Teschner; cherished grandmother of Andrea Lozano (fiancé, Jake Heiser), Gerard (Zoe) Lozano, Josephine Lozano, William Lozano, Camryn Bennett, and Nathaniel Lozano; dear sister of Janice Procaccini and Melanie Shubert; survived by first husband, Andrew Lozano, Jr.; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Visitation and memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Services (6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070). Visitation from 2-4 pm and service at 4 pm.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association, or Unite for Her.
