Kathleen Rebecca Podoba-Lind's Obituary
Kathleen Rebecca Podoba Lind, age 81, passed away on February 24, 2026. Born on August 28, 1944, she was the cherished daughter of the late Rebecca and Louis Podoba, whose love and guidance shaped the foundation of her long and meaningful life.
Kathleen found her greatest joy in the simple, beautiful things that made life feel full. She had a deep love for gardening, and her flowers were truly her pride. Tending to them wasn’t just a hobby—it was a reflection of her care, her patience, and the way she nurtured everything and everyone around her. Each bloom meant the world to her, and her gardens became a living expression of her spirit.
She also cherished the time she spent on the water with John. Together, as devoted boat owners, they created countless memories out on the lake. Kathleen and John were proud members of the Fairport Harbor Yacht Club, where they found friendship, community, and a place that felt like a second home.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Lind, with whom she shared many years of companionship, laughter, and devotion. Their bond remained a source of comfort and strength throughout her life.
She is survived by her siblings, Howard Podoba (Gayle) and Rebecca T. Podoba, and Rebecca’s dog Indy, who she lovingly cared for. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine A. Bugala.
She will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
