Kathryn Walsh's Obituary
WALSH, KATHRYN (Kay) M., 96, passed away on August 29, 2021 in Bigfork, Montana. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Walsh; daughter of the late Percy and Thora Sprague; cherished mother of Barbara (Barth) Borcherdt (late Robert), Patricia (Edward) Mesker and James (Judy) Walsh; adoring grandmother of Kathryn (Mark), Rachel (Mike), Amanda (Keith), Michael (Inga), Matthew (Christina), Christina (Matt), Alison (Reid) and Christopher; great-grandmother of nine and great-great-grandmother of one. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd and William Sprague, and sisters, Ruth Ebel and Esther Wohlever.
A native of North Olmsted, Kay lived most of her life within a few miles of the home where she was born. She was an active member of Church of the Advent in Westlake and worked as executive secretary at the Gray & Ductile Iron Founders’ Society in Cleveland. In retirement, she was a faithful volunteer at St. John Westshore Hospital. Her greatest interest was her family and many lifelong friends. Kay was always ready to listen, lend a helping hand, share a hug and prepare a special recipe to mark an occasion.
Celebration of Life will be held on her 97th birthday, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum, Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Memorial donations may be made to The Sunshine Fund, c/o Lake View Care Center, 1050 Grand Drive, Bigfork, MT 59911.
