Katie L. Martin Harbert's Obituary
Katie L. Martin-Harbert, 38, passed away after a life long battle with cystic fibrosis on July 29, 2021.
Katie was born on May 24, 1983 and is the adored daughter of Joseph and Mary Martin. Besides her parents, Katie leaves behind her loving husband of 9 years, Mathew Harbert; cherished son Matthew Joseph; brother Joe Martin; aunts, uncles, cousins, so many friends, and four-legged companion Tilly.
Nothing brought Katie more joy than being a mother. Every moment she spent with her son and her family felt like a gift.
Katie was a dog lover and was an advocate for the City Dogs Cleveland. She enjoyed crafting, soaking up sun on the beach, and making sure everyone was dressed to the nines before leaving the house. Her family feels blessed to have been a part of Katie’s life. She brought so much love, laughter, and light to those around her. She was an inspiration to never give up, fierce in spirit, loyal, and caring to all.
In the days to come, Katie’s warm smile, gentle heart, and love will be missed dearly as she rests in peace.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Sunset Chapel located at 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted 44070 on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 12 noon until 2pm. The Celebration of Katie’s life will begin promptly at 2pm. Burial will conclude our services at Sunset Memorial Park.
