Kenneth C Lindemann's Obituary
Kenneth Charles Lindemann, 87 years of age, and a resident of North Olmsted, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, September 18, 2015, at Ames Family Hospice Center following a lengthy illness.
Ken was born March 13, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating from John Marshall High School with the class of 1946. North Olmsted has been his home since 1963.
Ken was drafted into the US Army in 1950 and served with the 40th division in Korea until 1952. He started his work career as an office boy in the purchasing department of American Steel & Wire and upon his discharge from the service he returned and was promoted to the position of buyer until 1962. He was then employed by MTD Products as chief purchasing officer until his retirement in 1992. In his younger days, he enjoyed pitching baseball in a sand lot league. Ken was a member of First Church Baptist of Elyria.
Survivors include his wife of seven years Mildred (Micky) Lindemann (nee: Hartman); his daughter Kathryn (Kathy) Lindemann of North Olmsted; and his brother Robert (Delores) Lindemann of Strongsville; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his first wife of forty-nine years Violet Lindemann (nee: Nass) on January 15, 2004; and his parents Elmer and Esther Lindemann (nee: Nelson).
Friends may call Monday, September 21, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 11400 Lagrange Rd., Elyria, OH 44035 (immediately off SR 10). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Patrick Odle and Rev. Craig Golden senior pastor and pastor to the seniors respectively will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve Contributions, 17876 St Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
