Nancy Glessmab
FLASHBACK TO THE 1970s & 80s and to UNCLE BILL'S:
Ken Moenich was a valued member of the "Zevchek Rat Pack" which spent a great deal of time on Marioncliffe Dr at State Rd in Parma. We played board games like Risk and Hit the Beach, we played double deck pinochle card games and manual table hockey. Mrs Zevchek would buy pizza for all "her boys". Our yearly 4th of July fireworks celebration usually had a theme. The most famous was OJs white bronco escape. It was a fun & wonderful time and it seems like it was just yesterday.
Dean Zevchek gave everyone nicknames. Lottie Z our matriarch was Food Lady, Don Z was Oaf, Dean Z was Chud, Jimmy M was Mollusk, Mike Y was Rasputin, Mark B was Castro and I was Toad which came from a driver's license photo. When I got married my wife Nancy became Mrs Toad.
This all leads to the naming of Kenny and a very funny moment. One day Ken came over to the Zevchek's wearing a black/red/brown flannel shirt. Dean took one look at Ken and said " Hey, hogfarmer, glad you could make it" Ken says What? Which Dean responded "well the way you are dressed you look like a hogfarmer" so from that point on Ken was hogfarmer and that is how the story goes.
Ken you will always be remembered and missed. Rest in Peace.
