Kenneth E. Stafford's Obituary
Kenneth Elliot Stafford Jr. went home to be with the Lord May 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Ken was born January 24, 1931 in Cleveland, OH to Kenneth E. Stafford Sr. and Elma A. Stafford (nee Callahan). He was proceeded in death by brothers Kenneth E. and James R. Stafford. Ken graduated from Rhodes High School in January, 1949 and Case Western Reserve in June, 1952. After serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, Ken returned to Cleveland to marry Patricia A. Martynowski, his wife of 63 years who survives him. He retired after 45 years from Victoreen Instrument Company as a nuclear physicist in 1993. Ken spent the next 20 years working in the genealogy field and at the County Achieves.
An avid fisherman, he is also survived by his three children, James (Janet) Stafford, Marlene (Gerald) Lynch and Ruth Colleen Stafford; grandsons Jason (Julie) Lynch, Eric (Heather) Stafford, Michael (Lindsey) Lynch, Kent (Mary) Stafford, Jeffery(Tana) Lynch and 16 great grandchildren. He was brother of James C. (Kathleen) Stafford and Sandra (Perry) Pine.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070, where the family will receive friends two hours PRIOR to the service, from 12 – 2 PM. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
