Kim "Chris" Russyn's Obituary
Kim Peter Christopher “Chris” Russyn, age 70, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away on September 19, 2025. Born on March 1, 1955, to the late Peter and Darlene Russyn, Chris lived a life marked by devotion, resilience, and love.
Chris was a man of quiet strength and unwavering dedication. He married the love of his life, Susan Russyn, on November 13, 1976, and together they shared 48 beautiful years of marriage. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Demetrius (Amber) Russyn, and a cherished grandfather to Kelsey, Aubreah, Spencer, Tegan, Aurora, Avery, and Emilie-Mei. His family was his greatest joy, and he poured his heart into every moment spent with them.
He is also survived by his sister, Linda Gaski, and many other beloved family members and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and generous spirit. Chris was preceded in death by his brothers, Matthew Russyn and Craig Russyn.
A hardworking man throughout his life, Chris was known for his integrity and dedication. He found joy in music, which brought light to his days and comfort to those around him. Above all, he will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, and grandfather whose love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Memorial visitation will be held at Sunset Legacy, 6451 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
