Kimberly Ann Kasicky's Obituary
Kimberly Ann Kasicky passed away on October 25th, 2023, at the age of 59 in North Olmsted, OH after a 7-year battle with cancer. She had fought hard, and she was our warrior.
Kim was born on February 18th, 1964, in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1982 she went on to obtain her associate degree in nursing from Allegany Community College and Del Mar College School of Nursing. She was then married on June 9th, 1984, to her high school sweetheart, James “Lou” Kasicky. They shared 39 wonderful years of marriage together.
Over the years Kim worked at many places including the Fairview Library, the Mercedes Benz Dealership of North Olmsted, as well as several hospitals. It was not long before she realized that her true calling was helping children and thus, devoted over 22 years of service to the North Olmsted school system.
Kim was the ultimate hostess, and there was nothing more that she loved than a house full of family or friends to feed. Some of our family’s fondest memories include time spent with her in the kitchen. Her cooking was unrivaled, her laugh was contagious, and the love she had for her family was never-ending. Kim was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her beloved husband James “Lou” Kasicky; daughter Dea (Vince) Shiplet; sons Anthony (Jamie) and Nicholas (Sarah) Kasicky; grandchildren Olivia and James Kasicky; parents Vincent and Elizabeth Parise; twin brother TJ (Tisha) Parise; sister Lena (Paul) McFarland; sister Deanna (Rob) Bovard; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Kim was predeceased by her grandmother Helen Parise; father and mother-in-law James and Arlene Kasicky, and sisters-in-law Christine Azzarella and Annette Flot.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, from 3-7pm at Westwood Abbey Mausoleum Chapel, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Kim’s memory. https://gofund.me/d115768c
