Konrad A. Speidel's Obituary
Konrad Arthur "Butch" Speidel, age 80, of Fairview Park, Ohio, passed away peacefully with loved ones present on January 28, 2026.
He was born on May 27, 1945, to Josephine (nee Duffy) and Konrad Speidel. Konrad attended Fairview Park schools and was a graduate of Cleveland State University. For many years he worked in banking, but he finished his career with a job he enjoyed as a letter carrier for the post office. Konrad was a talented woodworker, a long-time hospital volunteer who made wooden toys for the children, and a motorcycle enthusiast for many years. He was an honest and friendly man who was well-liked by everyone who met him, a devoted husband and father, and one of the hardest working people you'd ever meet.
Konrad was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his loving and devoted wife Linda (nee Smyczek), daughter Jennifer (Cuffaro), grandchildren Benjamin and Emily Cuffaro, sisters JoAnn Aydelott (husband John) and Jean Kelbach (husband Greg), and his two very special nieces and their families.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Konrad at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070, on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 4-8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at St. Angela Merici Church, 20970 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, OH 44126, at 10:00 AM. A short interment service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park and lunch will be served on the premises afterward.
