Kornel Almazan's Obituary
Kornel Almazan “Deda”, 81, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1943, in Serbia. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juja.
Kornel is survived by his children, Zoran Almazan, and Mary (Randy) Almazan-Smith; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Ariana, and Avary; and his siblings, George Almazan, Kory Almazan, and Kornelia “Sora” Almazan.
Kornel was known for his sense of humor and his ability to bring a smile or laugh to anyone's face. He was loved by all—family, friends, and neighbors alike. Kornel never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He had a passion for music and was a talented drummer.
A graveside service to honor Kornel will be held on July 16 at 2:45 pm at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and family are asked to meet at 2:30 pm at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070.
