Larry Ellis Eaton's Obituary
Larry Ellis Eaton, age 77, of Westlake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 02, 2020.
He was born November 4, 1942 in Tennessee, son of the late Melvin and Maudie (nee Hight) Eaton. Larry loved all things French. He spoke it fluently, and enjoyed French poetry and music. He enjoyed most other types of music, as well, including classical, gospel, country, and rock and roll. Some of his favorite artists were Edith Piaf, Elvis Presley, and Guy Lombardo. Larry was a proud member of Church of Christ in North Ridgeville and a member of the Golden Crescent Chorus. He taught at Strongsville Center Junior High School. Most importantly, he loved his family and spending time with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed.
Devoted husband of 50 years to Maggie (nee Hoskins) Eaton; cherished father of Jonathan (Amy) Eaton and Richard (Audrey) Eaton; beloved grandfather of Ella Eaton and Paisley Eaton; loving nephew of Elizabeth Hight; treasured cousin of Regina and Deanna.
A private interment has taken place at Lakewood Park Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, OH 44116.
Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2PM at Bethesda on the Bay Lutheran Church, 28607 Wolf Rd., Bay Village, OH 44140.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry’s name are suggested to Baldwin Wallace Community Arts School c/o Dalcroze Eurythmics Program, 49 Seminary Street, Berea, OH 44017.
