Lawrence Melton Felts' Obituary
Lawrence Melton Felts, 74, of Warren, Ohio, passed away on August 26, 2024. Born on October 7, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the beloved son of the late Jimmie H. and Jennie V. Felts.
Lawrence proudly served as a Financial Supervisor in the United States Army for 27 years, dedicating his life to his country with honor and distinction.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth P. Lilly; his son, Lawrence E. (Julia) Felts; and his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth V. West, Megan E. Felts, and Kaitlyn G. Felts. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Charles West. Lawrence was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya M. Felts, and his brother, Ronnie Felts.
Lawrence was a member of the Rock of Grace Church. Lawrence had a passion for fishing, working on cars, and recently took great joy in restoring a classic Corvette. He loved traveling, with Las Vegas being his favorite destination. His love for animals, especially his cats and dogs, was well known, but above all, he loved his family deeply.
He will be remembered for his dedication, kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
