Lawrence R. Kessie's Obituary
Lawrence R. Kessie, 77, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert and Marie Kessie.
Lawrence was the beloved husband of the late Mary Lou Kessie. He is survived by his devoted children: Denise Borisenko, Cariann (Chris) Murphy, and Jennifer DeLury. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Nicole (Tom) Beasley, Madison Ohler, Kayla DeLury, and Kyle DeLury. He is also survived by his loving sister Judith (Mel) Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Lou, and his brother William Kessie.
Lawrence lived a life marked by service, passion, and entrepreneurial drive. He proudly served in the United States Army, and carried that sense of discipline and dedication into his civilian life. A true entrepreneur at heart, Lawrence pursued his ventures with enthusiasm and creativity. He found joy on the water—boating was one of his favorite pastimes—and he was a lifelong, loyal fan of Cleveland sports, cheering on his teams through every season.
