Lee and I met in Switzerland in 1972. Two Americans traveling in Europe, buying supplies at a drugstore in Bern, trying to figure out what the products were. Laughing at our cluelessness while standing in the toiletries aisle, realizing we were both Americans. Lee said, “let’s get something to drink “ and we were off on a decades long adventure. Exploring new sights and events was a shared commitment. Once they landed in the Northwest, Kathy and Lee welcomed me every year to share their journey, from British Columbia to the Oregon Coast, Northern Idaho and everyplace in between. So many fun destinations and experiences along the way. I’m grateful every day for their friendship and for Lee’s welcoming and joyful spirit, forever young. Rest In Peace, My Friend!
