Lenore S. Gronert's Obituary
Lenore S. Gronert, 81, peacefully passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, after a tough fight with Alzheimer’s. She was born December 4, 1944, in Lakewood, Ohio to Clifford and Paula Sloan. Lenore worked as a secretary for Children’s Aid Society and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church as a Bookkeeper. Lenore enjoyed playing pinochle, spending time with her friends, whom she has known ever since her school-age years, but above all, she loved her time with family. Throughout her years, Lenore could be found in the stands or on a lawn chair, at any sport in season that one of her four grandchildren was playing. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to celebrate Lenore’s life is her sister, Virginia Dolan (nee Sloan); her loving children, Natalie (Todd) Winston and Don (Missy) Gronert; her cherished grandchildren, Allen, Tim, Hunter, and Colton; and numerous extended family and friends. Lenore is preceded in death by her parents.
Lenore’s memorial service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070.
