Leonard J. Baran's Obituary
Leonard J. Baran, age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 9, 2017.
Devoted husband for 57 years to Ruth Ann Baran (nee Yanko); loving father of Debra (Christopher) Stuhm and Leonard J. (LeeAnn) Baran Jr.; beloved grandfather of Jeffrey (Jamie), Holly (Ernest), Michael, Emily and Lindsey; cherished great grandfather of Stephen and one on the way; dear brother of Betty (Frank) Mahaffey.
He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Mary Baran and brother Robert Shoup.
Leonard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an accountant for the Federal Reserve Bank for 33 years. Leonard was an avid body builder, marathon runner, and threw the shot put and discus in the Senior Olympics, he was also a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do. He wished for no more than to live life and to love family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 4-8PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 10AM in the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Leonard’s name are suggested to Ames Family Hospice 29101 Health Campus Dr. #400, Westlake, OH 44145.
