Leonard Eggert Jr.'s Obituary
Leonard Eggert Jr., 82, of Brook Park, Ohio, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on October 26, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Dorothy and Leonard Eggert Sr.
Leonard was the beloved husband of the late Darlene Eggert, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. He is survived by his children Joseph (Lisa) Eggert and Michael Eggert Sr.; and his cherished grandchildren Danielle Eggert and Michael Eggert Jr.
A proud United States Army Sergeant and dedicated Military Police officer, Leonard served his country with honor and integrity. His commitment to service was matched only by the size of his heart—especially when it came to animals. Leonard had a deep affection for his dogs, who were his loyal and loving companions throughout his life.
In keeping with his love for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Berea Animal Rescue Friends (ARF) in lieu of flowers.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A funeral service will follow on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM, also at Sunset Chapel.
