Leonard W. Schopen's Obituary
Leonard W. Schopen, 97, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 21, 1927, to the late William and Julia (nee Lacko) Schopen, Leonard lived a full and vibrant life.
He was the beloved husband of Louise (nee Kolacek) Schopen, with whom he shared many wonderful years. Leonard is survived by his cousin Tom (Marsha) Mattern, and was a cherished uncle to Susan (Kevin) Kautzman and Tom (Kim) Mattern. He was also a loving great-uncle to T.C. Mattern, Alyssa Mattern, Ella Kautzman, Madison Kautzman, and Isabelle Kautzman.
Leonard had a passion for traveling, especially enjoying cruises with his wife. His love for his family was evident in all he did, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Monday October 14, 2024, from 10am – 12pm at Sunset Chapel, followed by a memorial service at 12pm at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
