Leroy Kurz's Obituary
Leroy Kurz, age 88, of Olmsted Township, Ohio, joined his beloved wife Judith in heaven on September 19, 2025, with family by his side. Born on July 14, 1937, to Leroy and Dorothy Kurz. Leroy lived a life defined by quiet strength, devotion, and a deep love for his family.
He was the devoted husband of 66 years to the late Judith Ann Kurz, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering companionship.
Leroy was the cherished father of Russell (Kim) Kurz, Gregory (Janet) Kurz, and David (Kathy) Kurz; proud grandfather of Jason (deceased), Michael, Jared, Sadie, Jessica, Corbin, Shane, Alec, Madison and Dakota; and adoring great-grandfather of Tristen, Madison, Logan, Ellie, Ethan, Aiden, and Raymond. He was a dear brother to Shirley (Ken) Gibson (Deceased) and brother-in-law to Barbara (Fred) Trokey of Tucson, Arizona, and William (Jean) Sweet of Norton, Ohio.
Leroy found joy in the simple pleasures of life; he enjoyed bowling, boating, and playing cards with friends and family. He was a devoted supporter of his grandchildren, rarely missing a game or event, and cheering them on with pride. Leroy was quite the handyman, always ready to lend a hand with projects around the house or help others with theirs.
In his later years, Leroy remained active in the Columbia Park community, participating in social events and offering his quiet generosity to neighbors and friends. His steady presence and warm heart made him a beloved figure to all who knew him.
Leroy will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the legacy of kindness and craftsmanship he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Services will be held privately by Leroy's family.
