Lillian A. Koehler's Obituary
Lillian A. Koehler, 85, of Parma, passed away June 9, 2016.
Preceded in death by; Mother – Emily (Dawson) Koehler, dear friends – June Heilman & Rita Rohde.
Survived by family; Cameron & Melanie Cunningham, Coleen & Bob Tiffner, Jerry & Tammy Heilman and sons Steven, Jeffery & Adam, Jill & Sean Mckay and children Matthew & Kaitlyn, Juli and Dennis Moll, and many cousins.
Lillian was a retired athletics teacher from Cuyahoga Hts. High School and was instrumental in developing girls softball in the state of Ohio. She loved sports and was an avid tennis player and golfer.
She enjoyed music and played the trumpet. She passed along this love of music to the younger family members.
Lillian and her lifelong friend Rita traveled extensively around America enjoying the beauty of our country. They had many adventures but they especially loved Alaska and Florida. She loved nature and animals and was happiest when she was outdoors.
She loved America and was very patriotic. She often talked about her respect and appreciation for all of the men and women who served in our armed forces.
Visitation is 12-2 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2016, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH, where funeral services will commence at 2 p.m. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
