Linda L. Ullrich's Obituary
Linda L. Ullrich, 83, passed away November 17, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late John F. Ullrich; daughter of the late Gustav and Marie (Grunes) Winkler; devoted mother of Gretchen (Robert) Hill and Jonathan Ullrich; dear grandmother of Bobby Hill, Nicole Hill, Holly (Michael) Lehmann, and Leann (Justin) Wiseman; great grandmother of Madeline and Jayden; cherished half-sister of the late Gustav Winkler and the late John Schneider; also preceded in death by her adoptive mother, Selma Martin.
Linda helped to build and run the family business on Grayton Rd. After graduating from John Marshall High School, she married the love of her life, Jack Ullrich. From then on, she worked by his side on what was then the family farm and greenhouses. Eventually, they expanded into retail Garden Center. After the relocation of Grayton Rd. and the closing of the Fairview Brook Park Rd. Bridge, Ullrich opened a Garden Center on Rt. 303 in Brunswick, now the site of Waite Funeral Home. Mr. Ullrich had offered outdoor storage to a few local business’ and organizations. He felt the property on old Grayton Rd. was better suited for a new trend of “self
storage.” Linda was a key partner. She worked hard cleaning units and taking care of tenant needs. She was well liked by all and was always willing to help others. Thanks to Linda and Jack, the family celebrated their 100th year on the property! Linda & Jack were avid boaters for over 40 years, enjoying life on their boat, “Farmer Boy.”
Committal services will be announced at a later date.
