It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Loretta Kiehl (nee Ullmann) on June 16, 2025, at the age of 87. Loretta was born on February 6, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio and lived a life full of love, kindness and dedication to her family and friends.
Loretta will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering support for those around her. She touched many lives with her compassion and wisdom, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her life partner, Stefan Scherer. She is survived by her children, Cathy Ruffus, Patty (Martin) Hatfield, and Rob (Linda) Kiehl; her grandchildren, Richie, Gabriela (Rachel), Sasha, Nicholas and Jacob; her sister, Cathleen (Richard), and her children, Bridget and Michelle; her special friend and neighbor, Linda; her former husband and friend, Jim; and her beloved grand-dog, Jemma.
Loretta enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She was an avid nature lover who always fed the birds and turned her backyard into a safe haven for nature.
