Lucy Maple LantzOcean Pines -Lucy Maple Lantz, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2015. She died at her Ocean Pines home surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Louis M. Maple and the late Anna Tichy Maple. There she married Wesley Lantz, who also preceded her in death. Prior to starting her family, she was employed as a secretary for the C&O Railroad. She and her husband moved to Baltimore in 1966, and she resided in Ocean Pines, MD, since 1993.She is survived by her son, Kenneth Lantz and his wife, Carol, of Raleigh, NC, daughter Karen Megary and her husband, Michael, of Ocean Pines, MD, and daughter Kathlynn Lantz of Salisbury, MD. Lucy is also survived by six grandchildren, Jessica Hagy, and her husband, Jason, of Newark, MD, Timothy Lantz, and his wife, Jaime, of Raleigh, NC, Jay Megary and his wife, Karen, of Olney, MD, Jonathan Lantz, of Dallas, TX, Julia Hill and her husband, Trevor, of Willards, MD, and Becky Robak, and her husband, Brian, of Raleigh, NC.Lucy was blessed to have eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom visited her during her last weeks here in this world. Her great-grandchildren are Audrey and Asher Robak, Joshua and Caleb Lantz, Owen, Ethan, and Braeden Megary, Micah and Tirzah Hill, and Noah and Jacob Hagy. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a great source of joy for her and were covered in her prayers, for Lucy was a great prayer warrior.Lucy will be laid to rest with her husband and parents in a private ceremony at Sunset Memorial Park in Cleveland, Ohio.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Lucy to the Great Commission fund through Fellowship Alliance Church, P.O. Box 1698, Ocean Pines, MD 21811, or Coastal Hospice of Berlin, MD.A celebration of joy will be held on September 12, 2015, at Showell Elementary School.
