Lucille Laverne Maruskin's Obituary
Lucille Laverne Maruskin, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026. She was born on February 3, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John Ostasiuk and Mary Jalc.
Lucille was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. She leaves behind her cherished children, Lisa (Jeff) Dietz, Diane Marino, and Linda Morris. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Mark Morris and Melanie (Nick) Roth and Alexis and Vincent Marino, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her loving sister, Nancy Gigliotti.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Maruskin, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship.
Lucille had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time in nature, often visiting the Metro Parks. She also enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers, spending hours working on puzzles, and keeping everything meticulously organized. When her children were young, she enjoyed writing stories and submitting them for prizes, an activity that reflected her creativity and dedication. Above all else, Lucille deeply loved her family and took great pride in all of them.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park,
6265 Columbia Road,
North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
